Words from Pastor Molly
Be devoted in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers. (Romans 12:11b-12)
We have been practicing physical distancing for over a month now. We are restless to be out and about, working, meeting, playing, serving again. As Christians, we remember Jesus call to love and serve our neighbors. Tending to the health and well-being of our neighbors by restricting our own movements and activities is a faithful way that we all are loving and serving God. It’s called sacrifice, and we do it in the image of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The apostle Paul reminds us “let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9) So, keep at it, Immanuel family! Do not lose heart. Through our own struggles, we are saving lives, and that is always God’s will and God’s way.
