As a means to meet our Mission statement:
Immanuel is called to be a caring, compassionate and diverse congregation…
Immanuel currently offers one “blended” worship at 10:00 a.m.
Our service follow the liturgical format but use different music styles. Several worship bands lead the contemporary worship. The organ and often the Women’s Ensemble assist with leading worship at the traditional service.
Christ is at the center of liturgical worship. Some parts of the liturgy stay the same each Sunday. This is to make sure that Christ is proclaimed and praised during every service. Some parts of the liturgy change every week. These changes are based on the Christian church calendar. Following this calendar ensures that the important events and teachings of Christ are celebrated every year.
We offer the following opportunities to be involved in worship at Immanuel: We can pair you up with an “experienced” member to help learn the ropes!
- Music Ministries- sing or play an instrument? – get involved with music
- Usher –greet, assist with offering and communion.
- Serve Communion
- Reader- read the lessons
- Acolyte – light candles
- Hosting refreshments after worship
We also need persons to run PROJECTION and SOUND during the services. Training is available.
If you are interested in serving in any of these ways, please contact to Allen Sasser-Goehner, Worship & Music Director at allen@imluchurch.org . Many hands make light work and enhances the worship experience for all!
