Every other year, Immanuel celebrates our Swedish heritage by hosting the Scandinavian Smorgasbord. Held on the last Saturday in February (in even numbered years), the month of February is full of preparation workshops to make and learn to make cookies, lefse and meatballs. The whole congregation gets involved in preparation, serving and cleaning up and folks around the community (and beyond) come to experience a little Scandinavian culture for an afternoon.

Four times a year, Immanuel is host to Family Promise. In collaboration with other faith communities in Missoula, provide housing and meals for Family Promise, an organization who assist families with children who are homeless to regain housing, independence and dignity.
